Thank you so much to everyone who came out for our first try at an Old-Time Fiddlers Convention. Hundreds of people enjoyed workshops, concerts, jams, and competitions.
We raised over $1,000 for Watuaga Junior Appalachian Musicians which will go toward providing more music education and propgramming for young people right here in Boone and the surrounding communities.
If you have photos and videos from the Fiddlers' Convention, we would love to see them and put them in our Council's archives. We would also love to post them, or links to them on our website. Contact Connie Carringer at appheritage@appstate.edu if you would like to share your documentation of the event.
Please continue to check out this site over the next year as we begin to plan the 2010 Fiddlers' Convention.
Thanks again!
